The Diemert Insurance team is partnering with Tags and Title Co for their annual Holiday Toy Drive. This year, we are supporting the Neighborhood Living Project, which is a grant funded program that was established through UPMC and assists homeless individuals and families.
Neighborhood Living Project serves a mixture of individuals and families who have come from shelters, abandoned houses, places not meant for habitation, and including those who have been displaced (children are living in the foster care system or with other family members until reunification occurs). In total, they support over 305 head of households which in total represents almost 1,000 people.
This program provides the homeless population with a case worker who assists them in finding housing, employment, health care, and more. The Neighborhood Living Project provides subsidized housing for these individuals and families until they are able to achieve stability and again provide for themselves. Even then, the case worker will meet with them weekly to provide encouragement and support in their daily lives.
As you can imagine, the holidays are a difficult time of year for those less fortunate than us. Starting Wednesday November 14 through Wednesday December 12, Diemert Insurance and Tags and Title Transfer Company will be accepting new, unwrapped toys in all of our offices that will be then donated to the families that are currently in the Neighborhood Living Project. Please help us help others this holiday season!
